Ties

In the cases where hands are exactly equal, the hand will be decided by suit. Straight flushes, Flush, straights and high card are determined by the suit of the highest card. Pairs and two pairs are decided by the suit of the highest kicker. The kicker is the leftover card that isn't part of a pair. For example, if you and another player both have two Kings and two Jacks and equal kicker, the suit, of the 5th card would be used to determine the winner. Full houses, three of kind and four of a kind can never be tied by rank, so they are never decided by suit.

Playing Amerikana

Ante: At the start of each hand, all players must post an Ante in order to be dealt into the hand. The amount of the Ante is the amount of the small stake of the table that you are sitting at. For example, if you are at a $0.50/$1.00 No Limit Amerikana table, the Ante would be $0.50.

The Open: After all players have posted their Ante and have been dealt their Open cards (one Up card and one Down card), the player with the Highest 'Up' card starts the betting action. The player will have the option to Fold, Check or Bet. The minimum bet will be the high stake of the table you are at. For example, if you are at a $0.50/$1.00 table, the minimum bet to start will be $1.00

Third Street: Each player is dealt another 'Up' card starting from the dealer's left. The player with the highest combination of cards will start the betting action.

Fourth Street: Each player is dealt another 'Up' card starting from the dealer's left. The player with the highest combination of cards will start the betting action.

Fifth Street: Each player is dealt another 'Up' card starting from the dealer's left. The player with the highest combination of cards will start the betting action.

Showdown: All players left in the hand will have their 'Down' card turned over to determine the winner. Hand Ranking values (above) are used to determine the highest hand value. Ties are broken by Suit Ranking (also shown above).
