Match play is competition format used in tournaments. Here at FatBetPoker you can also play single matches for all levels of stakes, ranging from €1 to €200.
The winner of a backgammon match is the first player to accumulate an agreed number of points. Each game is worth the value of the cube multiplied by the number of points won.
In backgammon matches at FatBetPoker the Crawford Rule is in effect: This rule states that if the first player reaches match-point (he needs only one more point to win the match) it is not allowed to use the doubling cube during the very next game.
Note that the final score is irrelevant, just try to be the first to accumulate the necessary number of points and win the match. The Jacoby Rule, automatic doubles and beavers are not used in match play.
